As veraison approaches the water table drops, stressing the wines and intensifying the dark velvety fruit flavors. The Simple Life Pinot Noir offers lifted fresh fruit and floral aromas with an incredibly soft and juicy palate. The core of this wine was crafted around the Pommard Clone 4 Pinot Noir from Clarksburg, California. The Pommard Clone 4 has clusters about half of the size of a clenched fist with bright fruit concentration and fresh raspberry flavors.

Our 2016 Riva Ranch Pinot Noir is subtle with delicate hints of baked red apple and hints of baking spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. This wine has beautiful lingering tannins making this a great wine for food pairings.

Wine Advocate: 94 Points The NV 30 Year Old Tawny Port was bottled with a bar top cork in 2014. It comes in at 125.8 grams per liter of residual sugar. It isn't that I dislike the 20s or even younger Tawnies, but this shows what you get by stepping up. (Granted, the price is quite a step up, too.) This has that wonderful concentration of flavor, the molasses, the touch of treacle and the extra complexity that you don't always get with young Tawnies. Its combination of power, concentration and complexity also means that it lingers endlessly on the finish. It's one of those wines you will be able to smell on anything it touches for much of the evening.

Our 2017 Estate Red opens with bold and intense aromas of blackberry, anise, tobacco leaf and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and savory with nuances of vanilla, spice and dark fruit. Though firm, the tannins are rounded by a balanced acidity and a long and smooth finish.

France- Intense nose with red fruit aromas combined with complex smokiness. Tight and focused tannins on the palate. Enjoyable now but requires a few years of bottle maturation to fully integrate aging notes. Very elegant and refined finish.

The DAOU Reserve Eye of the Falcon showcases Winemaker Daniel Daou’s artistry with Bordeaux-style blends. True to form, the 2020 vintage is an intense yet graceful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. A rich ruby hue prefaces lively scents of blackberry, cassis, Bing cherry, plum and violet, while suggestions of leather, dried tobacco, sage and sandalwood enhance the wine’s aromatic complexity. A deep, juicy palate delivers generous flavors of black cherry, black plum and ripe blueberry with hints of kirsch, licorice, cedar and roasted almond. A soft, lengthy finish unfolds with plush tannins and lingering notes of cranberry, cocoa and graphite.

Savory aromas of toasted walnuts, charred meat and dark berries make for a very savory impression on the nose of this blend of 51% Cabernet Franc and 49% Merlot. The tannins are expertly polished and land with a smooth coating, embracing flavors of roasted fruit, cocoa, fig and roasted almonds, with a delicate hit of acidity popping on the finish.

Tasting Notes For Justin Savant Red Wine 2019 Bright, deep purple, ruby core with a lighter rim and slow forming, thick, moderately stained tears. Very Aromatic with black fruit of cherry, berry and blackcurrant, smoke, cracked pepper, vanilla, oak, leather and sweet tobacco. Full bodied and textured, with ripe black mixed with red fruit on entry with baking spice and oak.

Our new “Red Wine of the World,” this red blend is sourced from famed regions of southern Australia, the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. Mostly Shiraz with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon, Transit 1 is bold yet nuanced, featuring scents of smoky meat, chocolate and wet soil. A hint of mint on the palate stems from native trees. Just like our Red Schooner Malbec from Argentina is known by the “voyage” that produced it, this wine is called a sequential “transit.”

Wine Spectator 89 Points A juicy, well-proportioned style, with boysenberry and dried blueberry flavors that are matched to zesty spice notes. Crushed stone and savory accents show on the fresh finish. 31% Merlot, 31% Zinfandel, 30% Malbec, 5% Riesling and 3% Petit Verdot.

A clever red wine blend that is attractive, delectable, but substantial in weight with huge tannins and oak at the center of it's style. This wine exhibits aromas and flavors of ripe berries, plum, leather, tobacco and savory spices

Plum and cherry fruits are backed by Szechuan peppercorns, cloves and mint on this characterful Shiraz. There's a good lick of cola oak here too. The palate is fresher than expected, wound by taut tannins that feel a bit austere. It has a burst of tangy fruit and an intriguing spice rack of flavors, but the wine needs plenty of protein to cut through those tannins.

Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz 2020, a red wine, uses grapes grown in McLaren Vale region of South Australia. The winery uses three different vineyards for the Shiraz grapes : Coppermine Road, Gateway, Long Gully Road & Mollydooker Home. After the fermentation, wine is aged in American Oak barrels (54% new; 46% 1yr old). The grapes are sustainably grown.

WA 97 "Deep purple-black in color, the 2010 Velvet Glove is scented of creme de cassis, blackberry cordial, dried plums with nuances of mocha, vanilla and chocolate. Very fine in the mouth, it has a nice, crisp acid backbone and medium levels of fine tannins to support all the big and rich fruit. It finishes long. Drink it from 2014 to 2026+. (LPB)" (2/2013)
