El maví es una bebida a base de corteza de árbol consumida ampliamente en el Caribe Insular, es muy famosa en Puerto Rico. Se hace a partir de azúcar y corteza y/o la fruta de ciertas especies del género Colubrina como Colubrina elliptica (también llamado behuco) y Colubrina arborescens, un árbol pequeño del norte del Caribe y el sur de la Florida.
Mavi is a tree bark-based beverage grown, and widely consumed, in the Caribbean. It is made with sugar and the bark and/or fruit of certain species in the genus Colubrina including Colubrina elliptica (also called behuco) and Colubrina arborescens, a small tree native to the northern Caribbean and South Florida.
